Raising chickens was a longtime dream of Meagan's, and three years ago, in her mid-40s, she was finally able to take a feathers-flying, wing-flapping leap into her own backyard chicken adventure.

In this episode Meagan shares the real poop on being a chicken tender: buying chicks and hatching them at home, the true cost of backyard eggs, the realities of free-ranging, dealing with loss, chasing chickens, mean roosters, pecking-order drama and more.
